Let’s look at the default names and passwords for the 192.168.1.2 extenders and routers.
If you own a multi-room house, and especially if the walls of your house are thick, you have probably noticed that the range of your existing router does not reach every corner, causing problems like Wi-Fi dead spots.
To counteract this, we use range extenders or network repeaters. These devices have a predefined IP address that can be used to do a lot.
One such is the standard IP address, 192.168.1.2. It allows you to connect to your extender’s settings page and set it up. 192.168.1.2 WiFi We’ll get to that in a minute.
192.168.1.2: Default username and password
To get to your extender’s setup page, you will need to use the IP address mentioned above. We’ll discuss that later.
When you get to the login page with the default IP address of 192.168.1.2, you will see a simple login page.
Here, you can log in with one of the standard admin names and passwords listed below 192.168.1.2 WiFi.
The default 192.168.1.2 usernames and passwords may differ from device to device, but they will not be outside the list below.
